Sometimes we get asked why we don’t manufacture our ARB air compressor bracket in China to reduce production cost. Our answer is simple. We don’t trust the quality of work that may come out of China. This isn’t a drag on China based manufacturing. It’s just that we do not have the know-how and connections with the good quality manufacturing channels in China. Shady manufacturing is everywhere, even here in the USA.
These ARB brackets are 100% made in the USA. Now it’s possible the actual sheets of metal and the fasteners are made in China. In most cases we have no way of knowing the country of origin for the raw materials and resources (like metal sheets, fasteners, etc). We get them from American based business suppliers and they don’t usually reveal where the country of origin is. When we asked in the past they typically say they don’t know! In reality, it is extremely hard to avoid China originated “raw materials” because there are just some things China (and other countries) produce & manufacture that we do not here in the USA.
With all that said, I’m confident the quality of our ARB air compressor bracket is comparable if not better than a Toyota OEM part. After all, it’s the Toyota quality that inspired our standards. All the important stuff is labored and done here in America. The cutting, bending, welding, sandblasting, powder coating and more is done here by fellow Americans and American based businesses.
Every fastener and bracket is Quality Inspected several times along the production process. Everything is checked before and after cutting, bending, welding, powder coating and boxing. Everything gets a nice “QC Pass” sticker that’s probably made in China, but that’s not a concern – you’re not paying for American made “QC Pass” stickers or the stickers on the shipment boxes you’re paying for quality being in the ARB air compressor bracket and not the stickers.
Summary
Everything gets Quality Inspected for good threads, strong penetrating welds, smooth edges and perfect powder coating. You’re paying a fair price for a quality bracket that will hold your ARB air compressor for 10 years.
Every bracket has white paint-pen check marks on them. Those are indicating the areas (usually fasteners & welds) that passed our Quality Inspection process.
