One of the best Hidden Winch Mounts out there is by a small Idaho shop run by Albert called AMP’d Up LLC. The strength and simplicity of this winch mount is superb in many ways and overall the unit doesn’t have many draw backs.
I bought one for the 4Locked Offroad 4Runner because I knew I needed a front mounted winch. Of course I see myself with an ARB bumper later down the road because I love the ARB quality and the look of them. However, I’m not ready for that big leap yet.
The thought of installing it was intimidating at first. There was no written install instructions yet and no install videos at the time. So, after talking to Albert eventually he pitched the idea that I make an install video for the AMP’d Up LLC 3rd gen Hidden Winch Mount. So here it is, an install video for their Hidden Winch Mount.
This will only teach you how to remove the bumper, install the AMP’d Up LLC Hidden Winch Mount, install the Fat Lip Bumper Brackets (if applicable) and then you can do the reverse order to reinstall the bumper.
